Meet Justin!
Justin Parker is the founder of Parker Film House, an Austin-based film and media company built to help people tell stories with clarity, care, and cinematic quality. Originally from New Orleans, Justin first picked up a camera at his church in Baton Rouge, where he helped operate cameras for services broadcast on local cable.
His path continued through social media, yearbook sports media, Navy Public Affairs aboard the USS Constitution, and hands-on film training at Austin Community College. Along the way, Justin has worked across sports, entertainment, community events, and documentary-style storytelling.
Justin founded Parker Film House in 2024 after noticing how often film sets had few, if any, Black filmmakers represented. At the same time, he saw people in his own community struggling to bring their stories to life because of cost, limited access, lack of time, or simply not knowing where to begin.
Parker Film House was created to help close that gap. Justin’s mission is to make storytelling more accessible while amplifying the people, organizations, and communities that have supported him throughout his journey. He regularly donates his time and services to veteran-led organizations like the Kyle VFW and KAZI 88.7 FM, Austin’s community radio station.
